DDR Pad won't register opposite arrow

Hello! This is my first post and I'm new to stepmania.

I mapped my pad, and its working well, except for when I'm actually playing a song. If my foot is on the left arrow, the right arrow will not register when I step on it. Same goes for the other way around. Is there a way to fix this? I'm trying to find more info about this on my own, but cant seem to find a post thats figured it out.

Oh, to clarify, my pad is a Konami... probably xbox 360 pad. I got it used at the thrift store. I know the buttons arent worn out though.

This is the axis problem. This thread has more discussion, and solutions which may or may not work. I know there are other threads in this forum from people using the same pad, dig around a bit or put this into google: "site:http://www.stepmania.com/forum xbox 360 konami" and see what threads it finds.
