1
I downloaded a PIU compilation with a PIU Pro theme and a bunch of songs, this is based on SM for Windows and when I try to copy and use the theme on linux, stepmania crashes.
I don't know what version of stepmania runs on windows.

Try contacting the author of that theme. If you can't find any way to contact them, you're out of luck and will have to use a different theme.
