Any plans on releasing on steam with workshop integration.

Sounds interesting. Maybe if the developers take in this idea, we will see more development for the game itself on steam as well.

I'm not opposed to putting the game on Steam, but we would have to be really careful with something like workshop integration. Most of the content for SM floating around the internet isn't licensed, and if we were distributing things on something like that we'd have to make a bunch of content available or nobody would bother with it, and just about all we've got for that is the StepMix packs. It'd be possible to also distribute noteskins and themes and stuff through the workshop - but if we do that then if we ever break the API in an update people will have our heads.

Breaking the API wont be a problem with the option for 'opting for beta' so that the few who opt in can help test. It would be an easy way to distrobute the program. and possibly, legal files can have a minor charge in the form of DLC's.
