I'm planning to install Armbian OS (Debian-based Linux for ARM Devices) on my V380 Android Box, Because the firmware is Android 7.0 and not Android 11.0 in which it's fake and whoever made a garbage out of the can is only playing YouTube Videos and nothing else to do more.
I was thinking to DIY a Stepmania Build that will Plug & Play into HDMI/AV Monitor using Android Box with attached USB Dancepads, But I'm not an expert to bring Stepmania out of the box as an Operating System itself rather than just being a Program with most basic File Managing and Game Modding within an OS of Somebody's Windows PC on its own.
Required Devices and Other Components:
* A TV with HDMI or AV Port
* An Android Box with 32 GB Storage (Micro SD Card or a USB Flash Drive as External Storage is Supported for SM Songs, Varies on any Android Boxes.)
* USB Dancepads or Game Controllers
* The Android Box's Remote Control, For Songs Navigation and Game Settings. (If the IR Sensor can read it on where you want to go into)
* A Phone or A Computer (Why? Later, We'll talk about it.)
* A Bluetooth Speaker (And you know it)
Let's say we have plugged everything into it, Just some jumble pipelines and we're ready to go.
- Either we'll install StepmaniaFW with an ADB Sideload from the PC to the Android Box, Or a Flashed MSDC or USB Flash Drive with a StepmaniaFW Image while the Android Box is in a Recovery Mode.
- The StepmaniaFW Setup Screen should do a thing and the Installation is automatic as it will overwrite everything on the Android Box
- Now the Hotspot SSID "StepmaniaFW" is up and running from the Android Box, It's time to do a Configuration Setup on a Phone or a Computer.
- Open up a Web Browser and go to
- Account Setup Login is "stepfw" and Create a Machine-Operator (SU) Account of yours afterwards, As the "stepfw" Setup Account will be completely disabled when the Installation Setup is finish and It won't allow Replication of a Local-Player/s (Guest) Account Creation and even Changing or Deleting it with a SU Account.
- Machine-Operator (SU) Account has been created, Game Setup should be made if it's going to use in Public, Especially to Neighbors with Paywall or something than Traditional Insert Coins. Or only a Private Use at Home.
- Adding Songs with BGA and SM Steps can be uploaded through a Web Browser with a SU Account and must be connected to "StepmaniaFW" Hotspot SSID, Can read directly to the Micro SD Card or USB External Storage with or without saving as copy to StepmaniaFW. (It won't save any files to External Storage, For some reasons like Data Corruption.)
