Hello to one and all! I decided to get in on the Stepmania wagon. I've actually always wanted to set DDR steps to music that I liked, and now that I can do that, I've been perusing Stepmania for the past few months. Like, a lot. Anyways, I decided that I would share some of my creations, at least a little bit at a time. Right now, the collection is kinda small...but I hope you'll support me through it and give me any positive or negative feedback! Just so long as it's constructive, anyways.
All songs are FULL VERSIONS! So if you were looking for minute-and-a-half portions of songs, sorry, can't help you out there. I could do the shortened versions, but frankly I feel like that's just cutting pieces off of the song, and that one should play the song in its entirety. Anyways, all songs have singles charts with Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty levels being used. I don't have any doubles charts or charts with mines/hands, so I'm afraid I can't help you out if you are looking for a super-hard challenge. Not many of my songs get over a 9 on Hard, but things can be tricky! I can tell with certainty that dancing to these songs for four minutes at a time is tough, but for the keypad player this should be fairly simple. But hey, don't let that stop you! I think some of my Hard-level charts are kinda hard on keypad too, right?
I'll also be releasing simfiles in sets of 5, so I hope that I can post new sets fairly regularly. Do understand that I am a college student and that I may get bogged down with schoolwork, so I apologize if I ever get behind on making these. As much as I enjoy making new simfiles, I can't make them my top priority.
Alright, enough of the technical mumbo jumbo. I'll be using the next post for all of the sets and extra stuff!
EDIT: For those who don't know what my charts entail, here's a bare-bones explanation of what you'll have to be capable of doing to do well on these charts:
If you are a keypad player...
- Easy: Really easy. Only features quarter and 8th notes, and sometimes 12th notes. No streams for 8th or 12th notes.
- Medium: Still pretty easy. Features quarter, 8th, 12th, and 16th notes. Contains 8th note streams and short 12th note streams. No streams for 16th notes.
- Hard: Moderate. Features quarter, 8th, 12th, 16th, 24th, and 32nd notes. Contains 8th, 12th, and 16th note streams, along with very short 24th and 32nd note streams.
If you are a dancepad player...
- Easy: Still pretty easy. Since there are no 8th/12th note streams, crossovers are not an issue.
- Medium: A little trickier. 8th note crossovers are plenty. No 12th note crossovers. Short 8th note jump streams, some in simultaneity with holds.
- Hard: Quite difficult. 8th, 12th, and 16th note crossovers. No 24th or 32nd note crossovers. Long 8th note jump streams, some in simultaneity with holds.
