DDR Masterpad Axis Problem

Oaky, so I got this pad: http://www.ddrgame.com/dance-dance-revolution-ps3-master-ns.html

When I hook it up, it works fine, everything is recognized. But I'm having the axis input issue where I can't hit two opposite arrows at the same time. And using the raw input method described on this threadhttp://www.stepmania.com/forums/input-adapters-and-controllers/show/329 won't work either, the X value for the right arrow is 100, for the left arrow it's 0, and pressing both returns 100 as well.

Any ideas? Or am I just SOL?

I've used several of these and ran into a couple that did the same thing (even though most of the played fine on PC and PS3). I never fixed it though just marked the ones that only worked on PS3 as such. I don't think there's an easy fix, you can contact DDR Game and see what they say.

Yeah, I'll probably just return it. I actually got it through Amazon at a cheaper price, and they have a pretty good return policy. Thanks for the reply though.

It probably has a dance pad code. Hold Up, Start, and Select at the same time for 3 seconds to switch to Dance Pad mode. Try this before returning it.
