I am planning on buying a Omega GX pad with Multi-Console Control Box and I want to use it with my PS2 and my PC. But, these pads are different in that they don't have X O /\ and [ ] buttons. In DDR for PS2, the only way to start a song is with the X or O buttons, and the start button activates a menu. The select button does go back, along with /\ and [ ]. So I am wondering if there is a way to change what button does what, so the Start button would act as the X or O buttons, and the Select button would act as the /\ or [ ] buttons. I checked if they had any 6 button pads and they don't, and the 9 button pad isn't availablein Multi-Console. I can always use the Dualshock PS2 controller to select a song, then switch over to the Omega GX pad. Well, before I buy one, I want to get these questions answered. Thank you.

If you download the Owners Manual the pinout we use for the PS2 controllers is Start - "X". We also add a switch on the control box that alternates between "X" and "O" for games that need the "O" button (imports for PS1 or some of the dance master modes). Select is select. Also those buttons are to-size on the pad so you can play songs without turning on dance pad mode as you are extremely unlikely to accidentally step on the Start during a song.

If you have any more questions just give us a call, cell # on the bottom of our site.

Is there any way that you could make the switch on the control box switch between X and Start? Start is needed for some games like Supernova 2 to open a quick menu. That would be awesome.

A better solution would be to just divide the Start button in half. Then I could make the right half of Start to be "START" and the left half as "X", "O" combo then you could do anything other than SOLO mode.

When you place your order (all pads are made to order) just request it and we can build it.

By the way, I could do the 9-arrow pad as a multi BUT with the multi control box I only have 10 inputs to play with (Start, Select, X, O, /\, [], U, D, L, R) so something in the pad would have to be missing. So far only ONE person has asked for a PS2 controller with the 9-arrow and he wanted it in DDR/PIU configuration and he just used a PS2-USB adapter in order to get all of his arrows functional.

The DDR/PIU configuration is U,D,L,R, R1, R2, X, L1, L2, Start, Select.

We try to do our best to accommodate each persons needs.
