I just installed stepmania on my macbook air, and now I am thinking to buy a dance pad. But it seems that a lot of pad is only working for PC. Any good recommendation? Thanks a ton!
I have a blade series metal pad, it works fine (mostly. See my thread on it. That shouldn't be a problem with a new pad, though).
If you want something cheaper, I borrowed this pad from a friend: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GHG0BA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00 Had no issues with it, either.
dancepadmania makes a pad just for mac users, which you have to get from their website, since they don't list those on amazon. Unfortunately, that means slower shipping and slightly higher prices than amazon, but it does get you something specifically tested to work on a mac. When I asked them about it, they said the mac-compatible pads also work on PCs, but the PC pads don't work on macs. Which lead to the obvious question: why not make all of them that way, and save yourselves the inventory control issues. I highly doubt the extra components (whatever they might be) are that expensive.... but that is really neither here nor there.
