Problem adapter box ddr with Windows 8.1

I bought a metal dance pad with adapter 3 in 1 control box but windows not recognize the adaptar and I can't use the pad.
The connections are, Metal pad Serial --> Serial adapter adapter --> PC for USB and adapter --> PS2 controler

You know how to use this adapter in windows 8.1?

Contact the company you bought the pad from and ask for a driver.

I was bought the metal pad for particular, used. He said me he only use this in windows xp and he not was need drivers.

I've heard about ALOT of old metal pads that don't work with Windows 7/8 but did work on Windows XP. I don't believe there is an easy fix if the computer doesn't recognize the USB device. You can get a soft pad that is native USB that works in Windows 8.1 and try to repurpose the circuit board to work with your metal pad, or partition your hard drive / use a spare and install Windows XP on it, then boot up Win XP when you want to play stepmania.

Can you post the pic of the dance pad and the connections?
