hi, I have a slight problem here

I just bought a playstation 3 DDR-mat from konami and I wanted to try and use it for step-mania, because it has a USB-port, and on my innitial search, I read somewhere that it was possible to use it cross-system.
But now I have it plugged in, and it won't do anything; can you guys help me, or did I just waste my money?

With Regards

The first step in solving your problem is seeing if it is even detected as a controller. Open up control panel, open devices and printers and see if you can see some sort of joypad/gamepad. If so, you can right click and click the option that says "gamepad settings". click the available option from the next pop up window, then click settings. A window should appear telling you what buttons you press. You can test the pad from here. If the arrows show up as an analog joystick, see my forum post here to fix that issue, as it won't allow opposite directions to be pressed at the same time.

well, I've managed to get it to work for the most part,(by using the Start-Select-Up code) but it doesn't seem to be able to register 2 arrows of opposite direction at the same time. (for example: <- -> or up and down) for the rest it works just fine.

Yeah for some reason the official Konami PS3 pad doesn't work correctly, same with the Konami X360 which is also USB.

Even stranger is that there are third party PS3 dance pads and X360 dance pads that do work properly with PC although the PS3 ones give occasional sporadic misses on PC but they work perfectly on PS3, it's all kinda strange. The best bet is to get a d-force soft pad for PC.

I'd like to up this topic because I have the same problem, i bought this pad and any solution resolved my problem. The pad is considerated as a pad not as a joystick and that's why TheCyberQuake's solution doesn't work.. (only the Point of View moves, and if the left+right or up+down are put as the same time, it's considerated as if i don't push any pad..) is there any solution ?
