HI! I'm trying to lose weight and it's pretty chilly outside to go jogging for me so I wanted to try Stepmania. I currently have a ps2 dance mat from the Supernova game and was wondering if there are any adapters that you may recommended? Most of the ones I've researched on Amazon have complaints about it breaking in a few months and I do not have money to rebuy adapters. Also, there are some brands like Hyperkin that has an adapter for ps2 to pc/ps3 and a dance pad adapter for ps2 to pc/ps3 and I was wondering if they can be used for the same thing because the dance pad version is more pricier for some reason?

Thanks! =D

I know this reply is late but I would go with the common blue triangle one for $10 or less. I bought mine and it's been working for at least 4 years. It works fine and there is a fix on this website for the joy axis problem you will face. However, ONE player is easily fixed with the online solution (see Joy axis fix). Two players, I still can't figure out and people don't really post on here much to help me.

Good luck!

I've had luck with the dance pad PS2-PS3 adapters. They likely cost more because there is less demand for dance pad capable adapters. I've also had luck with some of the super cheap PS2-PS3 adapters, but I wouldn't recommend them because some just didn't work although none were claimed to work for dance pads anyways they were just $2 PS2-PS3 adapters. However the adapter that I love the most was one of the $2 ones, it's super small and works really well, but again I've had others that were identical that didn't work for dance pads due to axis and the costlier adapters $20 ones that I tried all worked fairly well.

However I still recommend just getting a straight USB dance pad and avoid the hassles of adapters, plus I only tried mine on Win XP, they may not work with different versions of windows.
