Forums » Input, Adapters & Controllers » Using a PS2 to USB adapter on Ubuntu - help?

1
To make things short, I'm running what I believe is XUbuntu on a Chromebook laptop. The thing is, my adapter (which is prolly a Super Joy Box) is not responding or being read by the computer. I know the device is operational because the analog button emits a red light and I believe it was stated to exist through the terminal, yet no buttons work when I use jstest or any other joystick app (let alone Stepmania). Also, I checked that one file (its the one that lists the types of usb drivers, I assume?) which listed pretty much all the ps2 adapters that I could be using. So, any help? I've been looking all over and I don't know how to start.

Hey there,

As a sort of first step, if you run the stepmania executable from the command line, does it pick up some sort of DDR mat in the terminal output?
