Edit data/bpm issue

I'm currently trying to edit the bpm of a song file I downloaded a while back (the bpm was pretty off when I downloaded it).
I got the song to be perfectly on rhythm in edit mode but, whenever I exit edit mode and try it on game mode, the arrows hit the top/score area a whole beat late.
Anyone know what's up? I'm pretty new at this.

Does the file use a Variable Bit Rate (VBR) MP3 as it's music? I've had similar problems with that. If so, you'll need to convert it to a CBR MP3 or OGG.

Not to my knowledge. I opened the mp3 file and it didn't look like there was anything different about it (none of the things you mentioned, at least).
I just ended up making up for the bpm lag myself in edit mode. Now it plays fine in game mode (but is out of sync in edit mode hehe :P).
