Why can't I disable extra stages

I am running SM 5.0.7 and i have looked all over hells half-acre in settings and cannot find the extra stage option

I dont want them on and i would like know if i am missing something

if the option to disable them has been taken out then my question is why?!?

Someone screwed up and left that option out of the Advanced Options screen in the default theme.

You have two choices:
1. Find %APPDATA%/StepMania 5/Save/Preferences.ini and edit the entry for AllowExtraStage:
AllowExtraStage=0

2. Edit the metrics for the theme to put it on the options screen:

thanks so much for the help there, i am def going to edit the metrics and add that in
