Thanks for the link. I'm sure it will be useful for some others. I saw that the buildspec is using autogen for 5.0.9 which is no longer supported according to the changelog.
I'm already using a cut down linux system with fewer resources than this on it. IE I run with no window manager or display manager and in full screen in order to avoid having fluxbox or *dm take up processing time/rendering power.
I did find out that when they switched to cmake they apparently started pulling a newer version of ffmpeg to install against. Which would explain why I've been having problems with the latest several releases. I'm currently attempting to compile against some of the older releases to see if things go back to being stable with video.
