Stepmania on a Pump It Up cabinet.

How much RAM is in your MK6, just the default 256MB? I've found SM really needs 1GB+ to run comfortably with most themes.

I upgraded it to 1 gig. I could stick another gig on there I guess.

I just acquired 2 different PIU cabinets lacking their computers (MK#) and im wondering if you could share any info you might have on what it would take to build something to run stepmania. I know it starts with the IO, but since ive never seen the complete construction of an mk....I guess im just looking for the best place to educate myself.

one machine is regular piu, the other is a piu gx.

You need a PIUIO board if you don't have one already, and if you want to run it from linux, any computer capable of running linux with a dedicated GPU.

thanks, that helps. but how about the lights? theres a jamma board, but does stepmania handle the lights or is there another way?
