Just so I'm sure you know about it.
It's on greenlight right now, and it's renamed "Project bits".

As usual with this kind of behaviour, it's "hidden", but not much.
The renaming doesn't go farther than the title and a ".exe". The rest is pure Stepmania, even the executable still there and Stepmania is mentionned everywhere over there.

The greenlight page :

The demo (in case that dude is trying to change stuff)

(Oh, yeah, be careful with demo links like that. You never know if there's not a nasty surprise in those executables)

there's no legal reason someone can't put stepmania on steam (Pulsen is also based on StepMania) as long as:

1. the default songs and theme aren't being sold (they are CC-NC),
2. the credits/license files are included in full,
3. if it's a build with mp3 and video support (well, GPL codecs) the source must be available.

it's an issue if any of the content included is used without licensing/permission, though, but it has to be reported to whoever made the content in question.

It's a free game. No one is selling Project: Bits on Steam.
