I have a PS3 control connected to my PC (with MotionJoy), and it works for all of my games (game control is recognized in windows, input is recognized for games and in windows) EXCEPT for StepMania. In game I can't get it recognize the input for the controller to map the keys. I'm using Windows 7 x64. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks.
You could install Joy to Key http://joytokey.net/en/
It will map the controller to keyboard buttons (not part of stepmania). If you map the controller buttons to the corresponding keyboard buttons, it will work

Try changing the mode in DS3 tool to something else, it might help.
I've used my PS3 controllers just fine with Motioninjoy drivers, dunno why it wouldn't be working.
EDIT: check out Better DS3 also, it's a less bad interface for the drivers.

I sometimes have to change modes between PS3 and XB360 to get some games to work with DS3, so the above mentioned is likely correct.
Just tested my DS3 with my current dev build. No issues at all. And we haven't changed anything related to Windows input in over a year.
Keep in mind you'll have to manually map it in the settings before the game will actually respond to it -- we don't automap DS3s.

Are you using a dance-pad, or an actual PS3 controller? In my experience dance-pads don't like to cooperate if you have the motionjoy or DS3 drivers installed.
