Simfile creation not working?

Hello.

So I recently downloaded Stepmania 5.4 and it seems that when I try to install Songs,they don't appear in the Edit/Sync section :(
I did it like this:

I made a folder in "My Creations" (in the main Stepmania directory)
Then I put the music and a with Textedit generated blank stepmania step file.
And it doesn't appear :(

I have Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks Macbook Air 2009

I hope someone can help me out!!

Put your "My Creations" folder inside of "Songs" in the SM folder.

I did it like that,am I supposed to put it in the library folder or the folder I downloaded?

Oh,it also worked before I upgraded to 10.9 Mavericks.

Is that supposed to happen??

It's OK,I have a PC now and it works fine ;)
