Here's what happened: After using a series of messed up pads and messed up screens, my audio sync was around -0.260 s. When I finally wrangled it all back with a proper pad and a proper screen, I tried to use the Calibrate Audio Sync option to reset the offset. But at that point it was so far off that I couldn't set it. The calibration only works if the arrows are at least close to what's on screen and at this point the arrows were an entire eighth note off.

Is there a way to reset the audio sync setting by hand, i.e. manually entering an offset?

Thanks in advance again!

Close stepmania. Open %APPDATA%/StepMania 5.0/Save/Preferences.ini in notepad. Find GlobalOffsetSeconds. Change the value it's set to to the offset you want.
