Pretty much what the title says. I have changed my Beat 0 Offset so that it starts perfectly with the song, but if I start the song from somewhere other than in the beginning the whole track jumps off sync with about a second or two, making it unplayable. This seems to only happen on certain songs; some songs can do this without losing their sync, but the weird thing is that I do exactly the same stuff when I create a new song from a MP3. Has this happened to anyone else? Any known fixes for it?
Don't use a variable bit rate mp3.

What is that, and how can I fix it?
Use something like Audacity to convert it to ogg.
Variable bit rate mp3 is when the bit rate of the music changes during the song, to conserve space. The seeking code in stepmania assumes fixed bitrate, so it ends up in the wrong place when it has to skip into the middle.

Oh I see, thanks a lot for the help and the quick answers! Really made the game much more enjoyable for me, since i've had this bug for a while now. :)
