A few days ago i stated my stepmania (stepmania 5.0.10) and the game stopped at random, it just gave me a Program crash, it is giving me that crash report every time.
I reinstalled the game a few times, nothing helped.
any idea how I can fix this?

When you reinstalled, did you copy the _fallback and default Themes folders from an old version? If you copy the _fallback or default Themes folders from an old version, it can cause problems.

I've been playing for a few years now and just recently had my first issue with the game.. created an account just to respond to this post and share what I did. I was running on 5.0.6, for some reason chose to to go 5.0.9 instead of 5.0.10.. realized my mistake and installed 5.0.10. The game kept crashing at launch so I was forced to revert to 5.0.6 in order to play.

I messed around off and on for a few days and was about to give up when I found some posts regarding song title errors. I took care of those as they each popped up in the crash log, but still had the crash once those warnings ceased (search WARNING in the log until it no longer appears). So I googled the stack overflow error that was at the very top of the log and eventually came across your post. I wish I had found it a few days ago!

I reinstalled 5,0.6, then uninstalled it as part of the install process for 5.0.10, removed the _fallout and default folders that were left behind before clicking install, then reinstalled 5.0.10.. and it works beautifully.
