Question about video codecs

I'm running into a tough time trying to get my BG videos to sync properly with the music. I run Premiere CC, pull my video and audio from the same file with the same In/Out points. I have tried Mp4, AVI both with different Codecs and just the video will never sync properly. I was wondering what others use to edit/export their videos and is there another step I'm missing besides dropping it in the song folder?

You can change the beat the video starts on, either in the editor or by manually editing the simfile. If you decided to manually edit the simfile, be careful. The bgchanges line syntax is explained in Docs/Userdocs/bgchanges_format.txt.
