Every time I try to install Stepmania 5 Beta, I keep getting an error that says "Extract: error writing to file parallel_lights_io.dll". What can I do to sole this problem?
Is there at least any way for me to download a different version of Stepmania while I wait, like an earlier version of Stepmania 5 or Stepmania 4 without parallel_lights_io.dll?
Are you sure it isn't your antivirus or something? that parallel lights i/o file has been around since 3.x.
OK, I turned off my antivirus, and the installation got to the end, but now I have a different problem. Now when I try to start the game, it says "The program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix it." I reinstalled several times, and I still keep getting this.
Go to microsoft.com and install DirectX9. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
