Songs won't show up in-game

So I really only know the basics of basic ( extracting a .rar into the songs folder ) and It's been fine until I tried downloading some DJ Max songs.
I've never had this problem before but as of right now, I can't seem to get the songs to show up in-game no matter how many times I try to reload them through the in-game function
despite them clearly sitting in a folder in the correct place. ( Stepmania 5/Songs/DJ Max ) Nothing should be wrong there seeing as everything else has worked before.
What I did notice was that the files inside the actual song folder are completely different than the norm I usually get.



So the folder on the left is just a random song that actually shows up in-game and that's how the files look like in comparison to the folder on the right which is the song I'm trying to play but
won't actually show up in-game. It might be very simple, I might be doing something wrong but could anyone shed some light on this matter for me?

Are you sure sm5 supports .bms files and keysounds?

It won't show up unless you have Autogen Steps enabled in options or are in the correct game mode.

SM5 does support keysounded BMS files, although honestly it's better to use a dedicated simulator for those (check out Lunatic Rave)

Although you are right, I can see why this sort of file would work better on a more dedicated simulator. Regardless, It's still nice to have just for the nostalgic aspect as I used to play DJ Max way back in the day. Thanks again for your help!

First of all, I'd like to apologize for bumping quite an old thread but this issue has been bugging me for awhile.

In my case, some of the songs won't show up during selection screen on my desktop; win7 64bit. However, everything are showing up nicely when I'm playing at the cafe;winXP (installed the game normally on cafe's PC but the packs are loaded from my portable disk).

I tried both "Reload Courses" and setting my language to Japanese but it still didn't work.
