can't run stepmania 5

First post on these forums, I wanted to join to say that this fix worked for me. I'm on windows 7 32bit and I was getting the error for missing mscvr120.dll, but after installing vcredist_x86.exe from Kyzentun's link, everything works.

(Next I have to get this xbox 360 konami soft mat working, and I'll be ready to play)

PS: my laptop is 32bit windows and I downloaded the vcredist_86.exe

That error relates to DirectX.

I'm experiencing the same issue right now, setting up an old computer to run Stepmania on a TV. i'm currently just downloading years of Windows 7 updates. If that doesn't work I'll go from there but if your Windows isn't up-to-date, start there and see what happens.

I've download VC++ 2013 package, however, I still cn't run stepmania 5. I download msvcr120.dll at http://www.dll-download-system.com/home/m-dlls-not-system-/msvcr120.dll/details.html
and follow the instruction, seems runs fine now.
