I made the change you posted on my copy of CS8 and it works fine (except for a bug where the combo number will be green if the combo resumes immediately after a Great). Assuming that's the only change you made, could you confirm that metrics.ini is saving properly?
I tried it again and it works now. Notepad++ must have screwed up or something.
Is there a way to make Greats act like Goods though? Since even if I get one, I don't lose a life in battery mode.
