I'm using StepMania version 5.06 with the default theme (I think). I went to practice mode because there's a tiny portion at the end of one song I want to work on. I was expecting it to be like the PS2 versions, where you can pick a portion of a song and then play against that portion over and over.
It was ... not like that.

I couldn't actually play against the song at all (my steps caused the step markers to flash but didn't get scored), and at the end it would just keep on going silently forever until I told it to stop.
Also, I couldn't get it to have 2x spacing.
Help?
