Make slowed songs not save?

I'm playing stepmania 5.06 with the default theme (I think), and when I lower the speed on a song I'm having trouble with, it saves the score for that song.

I know I've seen other stepmania themes where changing the rate means they don't save; is it possible to do that on this version?
