Hey, I'm X Kirby. Call me "X" or "Kirby", whichever you prefer. I've been poking around with various rhythm games, including Stepmania, for a while now. I'm not exactly a pro at making stepfiles for this game, and most of my practice with making rhythm charts is with Guitar Hero customs, when Guitar Hero was a big thing. I used to make customs for Danny Johnson, among others for the GH community, eventually taking a break to make songs for fun. After showing my songs around, one of my old TF2 buds mentioned I should sell my stuff on Bandcamp, so I listed it on there.

Anyway, that's just a bit of backstory from quite a few years ago, and I've come to notice some of my old Guitar Hero tracks, as well as some other songs I've been selling on Bandcamp, have shown up around the community here as stepfiles. My bro and I thought that was cool, and love the fact that people are enjoying the songs. Knowing that, it's probably good publicity for me if you could link to my Bandcamp on your Youtube Videos if possible. I don't want to be pushy with this, so think it over. I don't try to push purchases on people, and would rather people enjoy the tracks before buying them anyway which is why I put them on Bandcamp in the first place.

So that's about it. I'll link to the Bandcamp if asked. Other than that, I'm glad people are enjoying my tracks and will allow you to share my songs freely with their stepfiles, even if you don't point them over to me for anything.

Ah, welcome. I knew that username seemed familiar to me before I read this. I've only heard a few of your songs though, good stuff.

Thanks! I have a lot more songs on my Bandcamp, but I'm not sure how many of them would suit StepMania compared to what's already available. I've been mostly sticking to fast, heavy-metal styled music instead of chiptunes recently, but I have some chiptunes and such on the side.

Oh My God it's you.

I'm a big fan. Back in 2013 when we first started stepping / playing your music I found your bandcamp, passed the link around to other step artists, and bought everything you had on it at the time. A lot of your newer music isn't as well suited for the types of charts I play, but I enjoy listening to it. I don't know why it never occurred to me to put a link to your bandcamp in my videos, but I just add it to all of them retroactively.

I'm gonna contact you at some point about something.

I'm surprised I actually have such a fan! I have a particular style nowadays that unfortunately isn't too well-suited for StepMania, but I can try to make songs for it here and there if I come up with ideas.

Also, about contacting me, the easiest way would be through Steam. I hang on Steam with a bunch of buddies and my bro all day, and I rarely check my email. That being said, if you need to email me about something, email "xkirby2@gmail.com", in case that's not listed anywhere in particular. lol

EDIT: By the way, mind showing me your Youtube channel? I'd like to see what you've uploaded there.
DOUBLE EDIT: Found your channel, holy crap you're good.

I thought I had more, but apparently it's just 3 videos of Epic Manner and one rather old video of Smiting Down The Weak. I've also played charts for Almighty Power of the Cosmos, Fighting the Inhuman, God Against God, Ridiculous Ravers, and Long Invulnerability.

holy crap you're good.
Thanks!
