Hello,
Iv done a few days worth of research on my end and I cant seem to find anything about this DDR pad I have, I lost the control box many years ago and was looking into getting another when I noticed its different from all the other ones I seem to be running into out there, as it has a 15pin male connector on the pad side instead of the normal female one, anyone seen this before?

Well, first thing I would do is break out the multi-meter and do some basic continuity tests on the pins. for example, lets assume pin 1 is ground if you touch pin 2 while stepping on the up arrow and it connects then it's a step in the right direction.

since you have 6 arrows pin-out may follow something like my cobalt flux pads.

pin 1 = ground
pin 2 = up
pin 3 = down
pin 4 = left
pin 5 = right
pin 6 = up-left
pin 7 = up-right

If it does match a cobalt flux configuration then things get way easy for you. Then you could simply get a VGA gender changer then proceed in either DIY'ing a control box or purchase a replacement box from the precision dance pad people.

Nothing matches a CF pinout from what I've seen, most are the DDRGame style pinouts because many pads were made in the same place in China, but BlueSharks are different, and CF's are different, but I would go with the DIY approach as well, there's a really good writeup a few posts down.

Oh, so that's what china pads go under. In that case the DDRGame pinouts may be a good reference point for him. And yes, there's a major difference between Cobalt Flux Pinouts .

Pin 8 could be ground for this pad instead of Pin 1.

DIY PC Control Box link to thread on this forum here.

My Cobalt Flux controller died long ago and I resorted to using a more expensive DIY controller such as the I-PAC as I didn't want no excuse for ghosting or latency.

I was looking over that thread too, but his pads have the normal male end, while looking just like mine, mine has a female end, which had been throwing me off, I did order a male/male adapter so I have the right connector, just dont have a control box to test it on atm.

Ah, I was referring my dance pad on the left of that picture. It's a 6 arrow with the same connector end you have in your first post.

oh snap, you may be my hero here, what CB do you use for it? I see you have part custom, part multiconsole, but any pictures, direction to get this working would very much be appreciated, its my only pad, so dont need it to connect to anothers box, also looking mostly for PC support.
