hey thanks guys. the project has a long way to go. we believe we've figgered out lights. i didnt realize you stepmania people already had that all coded and whatnot- and we're doing alot of custom plexiglass stuff and custom LED stuff. right now it is completely disassembled in the shop bay that i work in while i clean it top to bottom. we're putting together a domain and pictures and whatnot to walk through the whole project, so this isnt the last you guys have heard of this hopefully- now my big thing is finding decent courses and sm's and whatnot. i got that big 5gig torrent with a bunch of stuff, but its pretty hit and miss... i am guessing i am in the right place for that on these boards- i will look around more in the next few days.

question while i am at it- we dont have the source for the arcade build through the cvs, anyone i have to ask nicely to find that?

There's not a separate arcade build. Many of the arcade-specific options are just not enabled by default.

There's not a separate arcade build. Many of the arcade-specific options are just not enabled by default.

I think some of those has to be enabled by hand (I suggest making a static.ini file for that part)

wow that's pretty cool that you're doing that? Which do you think is harder, doing this or hacking itg2 and adding your own songs?

Hacking ITG2 is harder, but this is way cooler.

yea, could be true because itg2 you have to copy the cache from stepmania onto it's hard drive or whatever and you can't use your own themes but with the pc connector you just plug your pc in and configure everything.
