Our Song Download Sites page is kind of a mess. You can't tell whether a site is good or bad from the ratings and descriptions. Also, a few of the sites have download pages that are difficult to find or the site makes you register before you can even see a list of files. Lame.

In order to make the Song Download Sites list more useful, I think we should try something new: When you submit a song download site link, you now must also submit one complete song file. The song you submit should be representative of the quality of song downloads on your site. To help ensure that people are submitting only quality songs and sites, there will be song submission requires similar to the requirements for StepMix. See the new Submit a Song Download Site page.

Your site link will be posted with a "download sample song" link next to it. Visitors to StepMania can quickly get the site's sample song decide whether it's worth their time to explore the site in more depth.

We'll try this for a little while. If it doesn't work out, we'll switch back to the old way of doing things.

I don't think it had happened yet. I just updated the submission form about 60 seconds ago :)

Can you post another link on the same domain, but it is on sub-category/section/page?

Yeah, good idea. I saw some real low quality sites that are just plain crap and filled with popups and ads.

Weed out the bad ones this way. 8)
