After two months making, playing and refining the steps, finally, it's done! For Midnight of the North, a great song by Sanxion7, there are 5 single levels: 1/4/6/8/10. I tired to focus more on danceability than on difficulty - sorry hardcore stepper players - so in most parts, except on Challenge, steps have a rhythm of they own, usually following the beat.

About the song levels:

Beginner[1] is focused on, uh, beginner players - I tried to make the steps intuitive and clean, while fun.

Light[4] uses nice step patterns usually found on harder levels, but on a slower pace. The pattern >^<^>v^v><v>v< can be made turning your body, always alternating the feet, or just repeating the same foot :)

Standard[6] has some "1, 2, 1-2-3" and some sequences using one foot hold. I attempted to do some different and fun hold patterns, following the beat.

Heavy[8] is a "harder danceable" step. While not "really hard", it's more "streamy" than standard. The song starts quite easy for an 8, but there's the finishing stream that makes this song level 8.

Challenge[10] is the DDR equivalent of SSR. It basically follows the main synth line, then the drums, and at the end, the bass. It's rated 10 because of the streamy and quick end - rather long and speedy ;)

Yeah, SaxxonPike songs are nice ^^ I played some Stepmix contest 2 steps from his music, and they seemed very nice ^^

how long it takes depends on when chris moves your entry over, gives it a "premier" date and all that good stuff.

Saxxonpike and Machinae Supremacy definately seem to be competition for KeeL and DM Ashura when it comes to filling StepMix 2.
