NoteSkin Sprites?

I was just wondering and have looked practically EVERYWHERE. I ask the users of the StepMania Forums:
Are there any SpriteSheets for the Dance Dance Revolution/Dancing Stage NoteSkins? Seriously! I have looked everywhere and tried nearly every combination of words in search engines and have not succeeded in finding any.

If anyone could show me where or if anyone could make me spritesheets of the Vivid/Default or Note NoteSkins, I'd be greatful.

Fun fact: the game [original DDR] generates the colors based on a single sprite.

You're going to NEED noteskins for this.

Go and download the 3.9 noteskins for 4.0. The link is http://www.shakesoda.com/files/index...3.9%20notes.7z and because they are 4.0 noteskins, all of the arrows will be in sheets.

Right thanks; now I ask you how I get them.
I've been into the StepMania folder and searched. They extract and are locked and hidden files; I can view hidden files but not LOCKED hidden files. If it helps; it only happens when I extract an SMZip file. Whilst I am here I can ask how I can delete songs. I can't get a screenshot of the locked hidden files because I can't get to see them (but I've seen them before, it's complicated stuff) however I have all the StepMixes in my SM but they do not show up in the folder and I can't upload a screenshot.

Anyway I can't view files that I have extracted from a SMZip file so I can't download NoteSkins and get the sprites from them unless you can tell me how.

When you extract an smzip they go into the Noteskins/ folder. If they're somehow hidden AND locked, StepMania itself couldn't see these files either. Unzip them with a more regular zip extraction tool maybe to unpack the files in a more sane matter.

Since you have more "locked hidden" problems, how about installing StepMania to a location you have full read/write access to? Like My Documents, or an external HDD.

Oh StepMania see's the files alright. I can play all the StepMixes; even though they're hidden and locked.

I have full access, I'm the God damned admin! Ha ha.
It's just the extraction of SMZip files - I can extract .zip files fine.
Would it matter that I use Windows 7...?

Being the "admin" doesn't matter if Windows restricts you from accessing certain areas, anyway. Windows 7 will probably do this a bit more.

Does the whole hiding/locking thing always happen with smzips, even when in a folder you can be sure you have full access to?

It only happens with SMzip files.
If I try to extract a Zip or Rar file to it it will say I am not allowed to do so but I can just extract it onto my desktop and then paste it into the songs directory.

How do you propose I fix this shenanigan?
Should I make another thread since this isn't on topic anymore or what?
I've had forum troubles before.
