Well, this would probably be Windows only for a while since it's coded in C#, but I'm thinking of continuing working on this thing.

Good idea or no? Also, feature suggestions welcome (don't ask for a realtime preview, I'm not recoding StepMania's classes in C#).

[p.s. I'm coding this in college, hence Vista; relax, it's gonna be .NET 2.0 if anything since most development is gonna be done at home]

C#=possible on Linux (via Mono, .NET 1.0 only).
(You'll need to redo the UI though.)

I'm also considering making a quick command generator tab that allows you to generate some boilerplate/template commands*. Anyone have any ideas on what kinds of commands I should put in there?

* more complex than diffuse/visibility stuff, but not TOO complex (i.e. stuff that might not be obvious)

100% continue. This would be a dream to those of us who cant code that advanced for squat (like me).

an idea.....

when you click diffuse or want to diffuse, a color wheel pops up. click the color and it enters the value.

I actually JUST finished implementing this on the Quad tab. It only does RGB in the decimal color format, but it's better than nothing.

what about another part of the application, the layout tab.

you can set the objects that appear, you drag and drop where you want the objects to be, click a button and it takes the coordinates, and such and brings them into another tab containing your oncommand initcommand and such.

What I am trying to say is, a screen preview tab. This would make it easier to layout themes and generate the lua for you.

that COULD be possible, depending on if I feel like doing it. It seems a bit much for my skills at the moment.
