Default The SMTheming Wiki Thread

Much like the one on Bemanistyle, this thread is for discussing The SMTheming Wiki.

If you don't already know about it, The SMTheming Wiki is a wiki about StepMania theming. It's not complete, but hopefully it has some useful information you can use.

The reason I'm making this thread is to find out what people want documented the most, since I have no idea what's needed/wanted badly. (I was originally going to make an "Ask me about StepMania Theming" thread but decided this would probably be better.)

A relevant article that create the theme.

Yeah, I'm lazy, blame me.

I prefer to get my information from the source code, and I'm certainly not going to re-transcribe that article for the wiki.

How do you create bganimations for individual songs that overlap the entire screen in gameplay? (including the arrows, frame, etc.)

I would have to look into that, but I know it's foreground animations. Seeing as that's not really theming, it's low on the priority list.

"individual songs," i.e. like BGAnims but overlays instead (mDaWg's Sticky Crisco I mean Tricky Disco). Your solution is theme-wide for all songs.

wait, how is this related to the SMTheming Wiki? all you're doing is shamelessly plugging your own translation, one that you yourself have disabandoned

is it really that great if you don't have the appeal to finish it?

hey thanks! but what is the syntax for this tag? I got a crash/error message when trying to use a BGChange as an FGChange. Also, how do you remove a FGchange once you're done with it (16.000= ??? =1.000=0=0=1=====)

edit never mind about that first question, apparently you put in some folders that contain xml's. :)
