timing

Hi, im used to play FFR, but since school started i figured it out i could put stepmania on my laptop and play during lunch time.
But, erm. I can play most of For Masters only songs on ffr with little miss. On stepmania, it's really different. I can't AA any 'medium-hard' song.
So im asking, is there a way to make the game little easier like FFR?
I've googled for 1-2h and didn't find anything yet.

You can change the Judge and Life difficulty in the Gameplay Options I believe. Set it to a lower number to make it easier.

Edit: Not the gameplay options, the machine options.

Also, you can try and change the global offset... I don't think you can auto adjust the global offset in SM 3.9 though...
