Original sources does not compile anymore, so (at least) below mentioned several kludges have to be performed: Apply all the patches from http://sources.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/vi...9/?hideattic=0 Install (compile) lua 5.0.3 (check the version with lua -v command) export LDFLAGS=-lX11 Now it could ./configure and make normally
