Gameplay question

SM newb here. I just got SM 3.9 and I was wondering if there was a way to make the game into a sort of "Free play mode"

What I mean is instead of playing 3 rounds of songs and then getting an overall score at the end, if I could just play song after song without havin to start over on a "new game".

Options -> Coin Options -> Event Mode

Turn Event Mode on, and you'll get exactly what you want. :)

And if you have evil siblings or friends that you don't want to change your settings, you can change the game to 'Pay' mode in the coin options. With event mode its automatically free play but you get no menu. To access options you just hit 'Scroll Lock' (Operator Switch :P).
Works good if you don't want people changing your settings..
