As long as you can recognize arrows from mines, you get better. You have to see the big picture. And the mines were for reflexes, and to test endurence. This because, there are songs I cannot beat on itg, but If I had 1.5 the endurence I have now, I could totally beat them. See, the BIG picture.
That is not a valid reason for you to blow the BPM out of proportions. From your explanation, it seems you made the simfile for yourself, not for everyone. Whenever you make a simfile, the first question you should always ask yourself before submitting it is "Will everyone want to play frequently?" because that determines whether your simfile is successful.

Correct! "Will people play it frequently?" I don't think so.

I got bored with this song after 3-4 times of playing this.

You see, rifall, i was actually quite excited when heard it's 600BPM. Why?
Coz since years ago, it's been my habit to play fast songs twice or thrice the speed. LoL. So.. it was like i would like to know how this Gannon would be. For me, it's not too challenging. I've been doing this for years.

So then I got bored so easily. The song really don't do much. I like how you intend to make difference anyway. I appreciate.

But, still.. many minor problems. Esp the song.

I must confess, I failed the Heavy level the first time I played it. Because of the mines in the ending part. But then I managed to be better, still trying to get AAA. The challenge.. I do think it's easier than Heavy because it's been my natural ability to have steaming notes like that coz I don't really have to pay much attention to the gap, unlike the Heavy. Besides, Heavy has much more mines.

    Default I'm sorry

I'm sorry if that's really true, but that's really why I'm trying to lood for a core 100 bpm song so i can bump it up to 400 and everyone won't be so mad about how fast the arrows move. And It's going to be more fun. If I ever upload it, It will be on bemanistyle.com under the username of "inthegroove"

NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! We don't care if the song's actual tempo is 120 or 1,200, what we care about is that you bumped it up! We like our songs with their actual tempos! If we (or you) want to play the song with faster arrows, we always have speed mods. However, forcing faster arrows on us does not make you look good.

If you simply left the Ganon song at 150 BPM, crammed it full of 16th notes, and recommended playing it a 4x speed, we would probably thought a heck of a lot better of your entry.
    XxDemonxX's sig offends me.

My thoughts exactly. Rifall, would you mind doing your song over again with the normal tempo this time?

You really would get a much better response from us. The sim shows some potential and the song is really good.

    Default appologies

I've been a fool to think the way I was. Thank you for the wake up call.

If you want the 150 bpm thing, you can go into the song file in the edit menu, highlight the entire thing, and press enter. There will be a selection called tempo, and set to compress x2. Select that and press enter. Do this twice, and it will be all the same steps but a lower bpm.

I hope this helps, stay cool. It's just that for me, 150x4 with 1/16 notes is to easy for me to read.

This just tells me you would not like my other really hard simfile called urbefferetten. It's 173, and it's raining with 1/16th beat for about 70% of the song. However, for all you difficulty lovers, if you want that song, It's posted on Bemani Style [dot] com under the username of inthegroove. Stay cool, and GOD^_^BLESS

Why all guys have to **** their songs with putting bpm over 350 + Mines 24/7?? That sucks!

I'd say I don't like steps that try to be trickier by changing their real BPMs...

Mostly songs IRL are between 80 and 200 BPM (some few are a little slower / faster). If you measured it higher / lower, then you probably doubled / halved the BPM. Trying to keep BPMs at this range is a good practice.

By the way, 4th, 8th, 12nd and 16th notes were made to be used. Don't speed up unnecessarily a song only to get rid of them.

Although using speed mods isn't considered cheating, it's kinda "common sense" to have songs scrolling between 80 and 200 BPM. Players usually have this in mind, so they can apply themselves speed mods as they wish, usually at an "default" rate proper to their needs.

About useless mines: they usually don't add steps a "fun factor". Good mines would slightly add a challenge, while allowing some movement innovations. Bad mines are the useless ones, or the ones that make steps "unnatural".

PS: This post is not a critic about this steps, in particular. The post was meant to be a "generic advice" for every step maker.
