Problems with song creation.

Hello there,
I'd like to make a surprise to my friend who like Stepmania, creating a simfile with a song from his band.
But this is very complicated, the help ... doesn't help, it just says the half of the informations and dummies don't understand.
I'm okay with placing stepcharts, etc. I found where to do this in Stepmania. But it's not enough.
So, I've got several questions.
- I'd like to put a movie as background. In theory I should know how to do this. But when I go to the menu (with Escape) and add/edit BG, I can't select a file to put.
- So ... I thought I should create a folder, as I do in "Songs" when I downloaded a package in .rar or .zip, where I could put my mp3 song, my .avi, my .sm and my .dwi ... But ... How can I see my .sm file which I saved in Stepmania? It's nowhere. I really like the help: "create a .sm file in the folder". Haha, really funny, but HOW? O_O My .sm file is certainly created on Stepmania, but as I said I can't see it.

How can I do, please ?? :/

Another question: There is white noise at the beginning of the song, then a note. Have I to put the 0 beat offset on the white noise or on the note itself? And what's the real utility of this? :cool:

About my Stepmania: I use SM 3.9 (problems of drivers with the other versions), and Windows 7. I saved Stepmania in Program Files (and I didn't understand why it was so bad to do this) ...

I don't know about video files cause i never put any video file as BG , but I think usually 4 BG we must put the files on the folder first? so i think you should put the movie in the folder first then set it maybe?? (I Never tried it)
