    Default Gamergull's Simfiles

Welcome to my Stepmania simfile thread! The further you go, the better the simfiles get!

So I'm gonna make more simfiles. I'm not very experienced yet but practice makes perfect, right?

Here's my latest file! 12th notes everywhere here. The steps are fairly nice, no minefields or gimmicks here. Background is meh. It's probably my last Sanxion7 track that I'll do for a while. I'm gonna do some song hunting, maybe I'll find something hard to step :P .

    Sanxion7 - Lime For A Dime

    Older Files:

    Sanxion7 - Human Too
    5 7 9 10
Updates: Minor step edits, minor gimmick added.

    Sanxion7 - Fangs (2012 Version)
    3 6 8 8
Updates: Minor step and mine edits.

    Sanxion7 - Terminal
    4 6 8 9
    Updates: Reworked, better steps.

    Sanxion7 - Trance Theory
    4 6 8 9
Updates: Some step edits, new banner and background!

By the way, you'll have to install these manually. Go to your Songs folder, create a new folder called "Gamergull" (or whatever), and unzip the folders into there.

Edit: Derp. I just fixed the links, sorry about that people.

Smiley feat. Mind Reflection - Remember December
    2 6 9 10
    Updates: Very minor step edits.
    http://www.gamergull.com/rememberdecember.zip

New file here. This is Smiley's rendition of Remember December by Mind Reflection. The difficulties are close to the original ITG ones. I didn't put much effort into the steps, and I didn't care much to be honest :P . The expert 10 here is pretty easy, could be a 9 but whatever.

What type of music are these? I might give these a try.

Sanxion7 is mostly trance, and Smiley of course is happy hardcore. I have my eyes on some other trance artists, so yeah this will be mostly trance.

Sweet I like trance and techno.

    Yuzo Koshiro - Maximum Acceleration
    4 8 10 12
    http://www.gamergull.com/maximumacceleration.zip

This file is old, and it was originally quite terrible. Not a good choice of music here, as it is extremely repetitive and fits more into Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune (a racing game) than Stepmania.

Anyways, I reworked it, made it paddable (hopefully), and added step variety (kinda). The Expert 12 that you'll encounter is not very difficult to be honest. I made it a 12 because of the high number of steps (1033 taps in 2:17), so there's streams to stream. I will play this in In The Groove tomorrow to test for bugs.

When I make my first pack soon, this song won't be in it. It's that unworthy :/ .

    WOOOOOOO talk about repetitive haha.

Looked fine as far as I could tell, the streams at least seemed interesting throughout (meaning I wasn't facing one direction for too long), although this song really doesn't lend much to a chart. I mean you tried your best, but it's just not a good song for stepcharting.
Yoshi is better than Mario, and you know it's true

Beta testing at the moment. Good at pad? PM me for details.

Yeah, I wanted to step a Yuzo Koshiro track, problem is lots of his tracks are rather repetitive.

    F-777 - Rain Trance
    3 6 8 10
    Updates: Very minor step edits.
    http://www.gamergull.com/raintrance.zip

I've had this song on my HDD for a long time now, downloaded it from Newgrounds. This song was interesting to step. In the Expert chart, the 32nd note patterns at 70 bpm might be tricky to read (for players like me at least) but the patterns are simple. There's a few various short and simple streams throughout, not hard for good players. Also, there's a bunch of nifty crossovers, very much enjoyable to do for this song. Meh, I still feel like the Expert chart is lacking something... :/ . I may update this.

Edit: I'm a few songs away from my first pack. I'm planning to polish a lot of these stepfiles for quality.

    Flashburn - Enigma
    2 4 7 9
    http://www.gamergull.com/enigma.zip

Darn, I'm making easy files again xD .

I first heard this song in a Flash game, and I thought it was pretty catchy. Enigma is a mere 93 BPM (93 BPM streams, so hardcore!). I took a long time polishing the steps in Expert, which contains a good amount of streams, candles, and crossovers. The other difficulties may make you yawn.

By the way, I had a horrible time trying to sync this, let me know if anything is bad.

My next file ought to be really hardcore :P .

    MSXOmega - Syncrome
    3 6 9 11
    Updates: New banner and background!
    http://www.gamergull.com/syncrome.zip

This is my first Expert 11 file that I made. Here, Expert includes a bunch of step jumps ("Tell jumps") and short streams. There's also some crossovers in mildly tricky locations. Plus, at the chorus of the song, there's a fun jumps and mines section. I'd say this is an easy 11 compared to other 11s. The other difficulties are fun too, you should give them all a try.

    Exotec - The Starless Night
    5 6 8 9
    http://www.gamergull.com/starlessnight.zip

The main step rhetorics that you'll find in the Expert 9 chart here are short bursts and jumps. Because of the bursts, this is a hard 9 (not sure if this should be a 10). I had some trouble with the note timings of some bursts, mostly because they sound a bit unclear. Other parts in this chart include lots of short holds and normal step patterns that you would see in other 9s, heh. Hard 8 is a burstless version of Expert, which some of you might enjoy :P .

By the way, yes I know the banners and backgrounds aren't so great; I've been uncreative lately. I think I'll refine them later.

I now have 10 songs ready for my first song pack! I ought to call this "The Newbie Pack", as both a reference to my simfile skills and the low difficulties :P .

Additionally, I'm happy to say that my first song pack will be fully ITG2 R23 compatible! Yay!
