I've been spending a good part of today trying to get a stepmania setup going. Everything is working fine except for the pad.
The pad is a Cobalt Flux from around 2005-2006 and the adapter is a Pelican PL-6338. I've been using the pad to play DDR on the PS2 and Wii so I doubt that's the problem. The adapter also works fine, I used it recently to connect a PS2 controller to my PC with no issues whatsoever.
Anyway, here's the problem. I hooked up the pad to my computer and Win 7 detected the pad as a PS3 controller and installed that driver. When I went into Stepmania 5 the game recognized the pad. Everything seemed to be working but when I went to the "Test Input" screen I saw this.
These four buttons were stuck on and some random other buttons would sporadically flicker on, I tried getting a SS of the other buttons but they were flickering too fast. Using Joy2Key I was able to map the arrow keys correctly and they actually worked in game (somewhat) but they would constantly fire when I stood on them instead of just triggering once.
I've tried everything I can think of to get this working but I'm having no luck. I'd appreciated any help with this.
