No sound on ubuntu 11.10

OS: Ubuntu 11.10
Version: Stepmania 5.0

Everything works, click the stepmania and it loads up fine and I have sound everywhere else on the computer, but there is no background music on the menus, selection sounds or music for the courses.

Thanks in advance for any help, google has failed me.

The current build only works with OSS. You'll have to compile SM yourself until we release the next build (which will be built with support for ALSA and Pulse).

The builder kind of botched A1, sorry about that.
