Default IN the GROOVE PS2 PADS --REDOCTANE

Okay, Usually I'm not shy about doing some research in forums if I am a newbie. I know how to use forums, I'm not new to forums in general.

I recently found out about Stepmania.

I tried to do research about what pad was the best. It turns out alot of companys quit making pads. This site isn't really up to date either. I ended up ordering off ebay. I purchased the "IN THE GROOVE bundle with 2 pads for the ps2." for $61 dollars.

I couldn't find any ignition 3.0 pad's or anything. Or any ignition pads period for that matter. I didn't really like the look of the amazon.com pads....or the reviews for them. So I told myself I will just buy whatever REDOCTANE pads I can find and use an adapter. I really enjoy RedOctane's products because I had an ignition pad when I was younger that I liked.

Then I go looking for an adapter for the PS2 to USB. I am in the same boat I started when I originally started looking for pads. A lot of company's don't make the adapters anymore.

AS of 3/28/12 what is the best adapter to use for the REDOCTANE plain dance mat. I want to use 2 of them at the same time. Can somebody link me to the best windows 7 drivers and adapter so I can get this going.

Somebody please help me out. I've already done about 12 hours worth of research on this subject.

I also have bought DDR 2 REMIX from Japan because I didn't know about the region code.

I also have bought DDR KONAMIX because I didn't know about the axis problem for PS3.

I also have a copy of IN THE GROOVE for PS2 that is gonna come with my REDOCTANE dance mats.

So if anybody wants to buy those from me that would be great.

I also have a 15 LB. Box of crab imitation meat that needs ate up that I would be willing to include if somebody buys all 3 items.

HI SINCE NOBODY ANSWERED ME I BOUGHT A DUAL PS2 to USB adapter. This thing has the axis problem going on. I tried to look for Fragoon's program to run 2 dancemats at the same time. But this site is heavily outdated and none of the links work. IS THERE ANOTHER ADAPTER THAT IS HASSLE FREE FOR MY PS MOTHER FUCKIN' 2 PADS!?!?!?! OR CAN SOMEBODY LINK ME TO FRAGOONS PROGRAM.

IM KINDA FRUSTRATED IVE BEEN READING FOR OVER 2 HOURS NOW.

axis problems either mean shitty adapters or shitty pads (or a combination of the two). I personally have no idea which adapters work better than others though, and frankly all the good pads are pretty much gone (DDRGame sucks, and Blueshark/CF/Afterburners are next to non-existent).

You'd be better off building your own pad at this point.
Yoshi is better than Mario, and you know it's true

Beta testing at the moment. Good at pad? PM me for details.

Best ones are gone. Positive Gamming still have quite good foam pads. I didn't tired metal pads so I don't have my own opinion about them.
    For better, or worse.

I already bought some REDOCTANE dance mats for the PS2. They are freakin awesome softmat pads. I was blown' away by the quality of these things. I just went out and bought a PS2 and now I play ITG. But I guess if I wanna play STEPMANIA then I'll buy an afterburner pad because I love Redoctane. Konami is stupid for buying Redoctane and just killing it off......and just killing off DDR in general. The new releases are pure crap. DDR for the ps3 is a joke. They made it for people to play it a few times and be done with it. Not for the hardcore players.

If I get more into this DDR playing. Then I will buy a better pad. But until then this PS2 will tide me over. If anything I can always just buy the old DDR games from ebay for like 5-10 bucks. It's no biggy.

Softmat that is actually good!? You HAVE to be kidding me! And DDR for PS3 was created mainly for casual gamers.

WEll yea it's a good mat. The best softmat I've ever played on. But what mat do you prefer man? Why did they dumb down the PS3 version. Why does it have that mainstream feel to it? Even on the cover, it looks plain ridiculous. The konami mat that came with it is all ridiculous because the arrows are so **** close together it's like what the hell. I think they just slapped that game together and burned it on a disc and called it a day at Konami. They probably worked on the game for 2 weeks before its initial release.
