Beta 2 of the DDR 5th mix theme is out. Grab it from here.

* Re-targeted theme to StepMania 5 Preview 3.
* Fixed the theme whining about default_base and default_diffuse character
icons if no characters are installed.
+ Added (unchecked) sort animation for wheel items.
* Converted "_green solid" to main and stroke graphics.
+ Added text to random vanish mod icon.
+ Added mod icon for BMRize. (Unused, but just for fun)
* Tweaked the color of the difficulty and length sort icons.
+ Added Genre sort icon.
* Worked on the Diet menu some more... still not functional.

+ Added missing playmode commands from ScreenSelectStyle.

encountered theme bugs (using SM5 P3):
- ScreenGameplay::SurviveTimeX/Y are missing (when playing in Extra Stage)
- ScreenEvaluationSummary::SmallBanner(1-4)X/Y are missing

  + Made the date editable.
  + Added the goal menu item text
  * Coverted some items to grayscale in preparation for 2P coloring
 + Added a small description for Diet Diary in the Records menu.
 + Added a fade out on ScreenSelectMusic.
 * Fixed section text during Title/Artist sort. ("Other" is still missing.)
 * Fixed scrolling display on ScreenSelectMusic in both 4:3 and widescreen.

I really want this theme so bad, but the download link only shows a bunch of text from the .smzip file, and no longer supplies a direct download to the file.

The theme hasn't been updated since dec... It would likely cause a crash in SM5a3

Right-click the link and pick "Save target as..." or something similar. You should be able to download it that way. It may crash on some screens, but it shouldn't be terribly hard to patch it to work again.

Thanks for the replies, and thank you for the advice on how to download this theme. It worked, and I'm going to test the theme for crashes and bugs.

UPDATE: Just tested the theme, and surprisingly, it still works with the latest build of Stepmania. I didn't experience ANY crashes when playing through the entire theme. The only problem I experienced was loading some of the character icons that aren't 5th Mix characters, but at least the 5th mix icons are still there. All modes that are complete are still functional, and all incomplete/built-in unfinished modes don't cause ANY crashes whatsoever.

The theme doesn't include any icons for non-5th Mix characters, so what you are seeing is normal.
