Dear Robber, You wont believe where I am# I(m at the Mac Expo ænd I am USING thep colic new Macwheel laptop. I'll BET YOU ARE JEAlouz
oh~yes! You guys made a great work for ssc theme.
I really like the pop☆candy series theme, but it seems old, so it never released for the new version of stepmania...
I like ssc, but the theme not cute and the result screen isn't detail to show.
Now, you give me a hope to enjoy playing DDR on ssc. Great work!
I hope you can do the 1st of pop☆candy theme for ssc too.
I like the pop☆candy more than ver2 because the pop☆candy2's 3D isn't look good, and the 1st theme looking cute at all.
Finally, thank you very much=]

And report some BUG of soda☆sweets2(updated at 2010.05.11).
1. When I go to the option -> theme option, it crashed and result following error:
"ScreenOptionsTheme::LineNames" is empty.
2. Some word covered by the 3D sweet in the key config setting
==================================================
report some BUG of soda☆sweets2(updated at 2010.06.12).
1. All words were big strangely and can't show Japanese/other unicode words(I used AppLocale to open ssc and set it to Japanese). But the 2010.05.11 version showed Japanese correctly with AppLocale and the default words were showing correctly.
When I change the screen ratios to 4:3, the word comes bigger than before and looks ugly.
2. Some word covered by the 3D sweet in the key config setting

I talked to ASG (the person mainly responsible for this port) about a few things.
screenmapcontrollers issue:
japanese text thing:I created a new background that throws the 3d thing far back; it'll be fixed in the next version
(qing's note: see this thread for why applocale may not matter when it comes to displaying japanese/unicode text in stepmania)I don't know if using applocale will actually do anything for stepmania. I know there may have been some issues with Japanese fonts after a later sm-ssc release (rc1.5?), but those should be fixed in the next version as well.
pop*candy 1 port:
overall:It's possible, though I want to finish pop*candy2 first (and build pop*candy 1 off the lessons learned there).
On behalf of the SoulTrain project, I'd like to thank you as well. :) -qingThanks for the feedback and bug reporting; I'll likely have a new version out on the 16th of august." -asg
Thanks for the details replied=]
I forgot to tell you I'm using sm-ssc v1.0 RC1.5. I played it with AppLocale(set Japanese) on default theme and displayed the Japanese correctly. It likes stepmania 3.9 RC2a correctly to show all Japanese but some symbol can't display only.
I current have the Japanese language pack in Windows 7.
I'm using the soda☆sweets2(updated at 2010.05.11) now because it can show Japanese correctly.
I'm glad to hear yours will make the 1st of pop☆candy theme for ssc.
I looking forwards for your great works.
And thank you so much really=]
I was just informed by ASG that he'd uploaded preview 3 of soda*sweets2:
http://smug.boxorroxors.net/~qjones/...3-20100816.zip
It includes various fixes and changes.
He also puts out a call for people who have a working version of "StepMania 5" to test the theme:Originally Posted by readme
So please leave comments here if you are able to test in SM5.Originally Posted by readme

edit: any possibility I can get the title changed to have "[sm-ssc, SM5]" instead of the "[SM4, sm-ssc]" that's there now? thanks in advance![]()
I do indeed have SM5 (though my build currently has a minor, personal modification for debugging reasons that doesn't affect the theme at all).
Thanks for your new released and fixed some BUG=]
It works perfect. I like that=]
I reported wrong about the big text or Japanese display incorrectly.
I correct here:
I found that it isn't the problem of soda theme. It maybe the sm-ssc's data folder got wrong or something. When I rename the folder of soda theme to other word. It can display the word or Japanese without AppLocale perfectly.(I tested all of soda version again, all of them worked fine!) It's holy mastery to me...
I found some difference of original sm theme about 2010.08.16 version but isn't BUG here:
when I selected Japanese, it displayed English under the bar, not Japanese. Only title screen displayed Japanese.
Original of sm
soda
The backgeround is different of the original, but the sweet covered problem was fixed in this version, very nice!
Original of sm

Although there are small BUG, I don't think it is a problem.
1. Option only displayed 9 selection
2. faill off situation wrong
