Final Stage/Extra Stage grade requirements

How can I make it so that an AA on Final Stage is needed to get to Extra Stage, while only an A on Extra Stage is needed to get to Encore Extra Stage?

Let's say you are using StepMania 4, and want the grade to be a default SM4 A.
Add to metrics.ini:

[GameState]
GradeTierForExtra2="Grade_Tier05"

Tier04 would be a SM4 AA, which is closer to a classic A. Seeing as SM4 default requires that you get an S, it would fit better, too.

Exactly, I want to change it to A.

Since that seems to be not possible, could you tell me how to do these?
(Remember, this is Stepmania 3.9.)

- Allow Extra Stage after getting an AA in Final Stage on any difficulty.
- Have the difficulty of the two Extra Stages locked to whatever difficulty Final Stage was cleared on.

If the bottom one isn't possible:

- Allow the two Extra Stages to change difficulties freely, and allow Encore Extra Stage after AA'ing Extra Stage on any difficulty.

Ok, I just downloaded StepMania 3.9+.

Can any of the stuff I posted here be done on 3.9+?
