    Unhappy Sound: Isn't using the same sound device i have set in ubuntu 9.10

    ALSA: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.20.
    ALSA Driver: 0: VIA 8237 [V8237], device 0: VIA 8237 [VIA 8237], 4/4 subdevices avail
    ALSA Driver: 0: VIA 8237 [V8237], device 1: VIA 8237 [VIA 8237], 1/1 subdevices avail
    ALSA Driver: 1: C-Media USB Headphone Set [default], device 0: USB Audio [USB Audio], 1/1 subdevices avail
    ALSA: Mixing at 44100hz
    Sound driver: ALSA-sw
    Lights driver: SystemMessage
    Lights driver: Export

    I have tried different settings in preferences.ini but I don't know what to set it to to force this to play though my usb headphones. in ubuntu I just have to select what gets outputted to in Sound Preferences

    I also noticed that while plugging into my onboard sound card the audio is over amplified and it gets distorted.

    oh encase your wondering i'm using Stepmania 4.0 from the SVN I compiled it on Nov 4th 2009
